Abstract
The key trends and issues that emerged from the NSF-sponsored UCLA Wor kshop on the Social Aspects of Digital Libraries in February 1996 are presented in this session. Following the overview of the workshop on c urrent developments in user-centered Digital Library research and the information life cycle model the panelists discuss the interdisciplina ry issues DL researchers are considering concerning (a) human-centered , (b) artifact-centered and (c) technology-centered research issues.
