A pregnant patient with gallstone-induced pancreatitis initially respo
nded to medical treatment, but the pancreatitis recurred, Endoscopic r
etrograde cholangiopancreatography and laparoscopic cholecystectomy we
re done at 28 weeks' gestation, The remainder of the pregnancy was unr
emarkable. Although 20 cases of laparoscopic cholecystectomy have been
reported for cholecystitis during pregnancy, this is the first report
of laparoscopic management of recurrent gallstone pancreatitis in a p
regnant patient.
