Abstract
We propose the design of an integrated symmetric Mach-Zehnder interfer
ometer based on ARROW structure, compatible with the silicon processin
g technology, for sensing refractive indices of liquids. The interfere
nce at the output depends on the refractive index of the liquid, and i
s studied by applying the finite difference method to the reference an
d active arms of the interferometer.
