Abstract
We report on cladding pumping of Tm3+:Ho3+ silica fibre lasers with a Ti:sapphire laser, Besides cladding pumping for the first time also si de pumping of a Tm3+:Ho3+ silica fibre laser has been performed, The e fficiencies of side pumping, end pumping into the cladding and core pu mping are compared.
