Abstract
We provide a new model for heavy traffic on a city network based on th e Lighthill-Whitham model for individual streets. The model consists o f a number of scalar conservation laws on line segments. The intersect ions of roads are modeled by boundary conditions at the end of each li ne segment. Existence theorems have been established for this system o f equations, and here we focus on computational results.
