Mm. Caramona et al., INFLUENCE OF EXPERIMENTAL HYPERCHOLESTEROLEMIA ON THE MONOAMINE-OXIDASE ACTIVITY IN RABBIT ARTERIES, Pharmacological research, 33(4-5), 1996, pp. 245-249
Using a model of experimental atherogenesis in New Zealand rabbits we
found a lower noradrenaline level in the aorta than in the femoral art
ery. The activity of monoamine oxidase was decreased in the femoral ar
tery and increased in the aorta of the cholesterol-fed animals when co
mpared with controls. (C) 1996 The Italian Pharmacological Society.
