Abstract
Auditory detection and pitch discrimination thresholds were measured d uring saccades and during periods of fixation. The accuracy of auditor y localisation under these two conditions was also measured. These thr esholds were unaffected by whether the sound was presented during a sa ccade or during periods of steady fixation: there is no evidence for s accadic suppression of auditory processing.
