Abstract
Angular distributions of alpha-particles emitted from magnesium+magnes ium reactions are calculated at different incident energies. The alpha -particles are sequentially emitted from long-lived states of primary fragments populated in direct reactions. The present reaction yields t o multifragmentation with the result of twelve alpha-particles which a re dealt with using the cluster model. The statistical scission model is used in developing the angular distributions of the fragments. The angular distributions and variances of this multifragmentation process have been numerically calculated. The obtained results are in good ag reement with previous calculations.
