Abstract
A model of gas release from molten nuclear fuel has been developed tak ing into account motion of bubbles and different physical processes le ading to the coagulation of bubbles. It is shown that the fuel swellin g and gas release dynamics are governed by the external pressure, geom etry of the melt, initial gas concentration and properties of the liqu id materials.
