Abstract
The installations, operating practices, dose algorithms and results, a nd maintenance experience at two major dosimetry processing centres ar e described. System selection considerations and a comprehensive quali ty programme are described in the light of the publication of testing requirements by various dosimetry regulatory organisations. Reported i nformation from Siemens Dosimetry Services comprises their selection o f dosemeters and processing equipment including service history, a des cription of their dose computation algorithm, and detailed results of their testing against DOELAP standards. Battelle Pacific Northwest Lab oratories (PNL) provides a description of their dosemeters and equipme nt with service history; in addition, a discussion of their new neural network approach to a dose computation algorithm and test results fro m that algorithm are presented.
