Abstract
A field trial was conducted at Bangalore to standardize the optimum do se of nitrogen for obtaining better plant growth and economic flower y ield of 'Shringar' tuberose (Polianthes tuberosa L.). N @ 250 kg/ha ga ve the maximum number of leaves/clump, number of florets/spike and wei ght of individual floret. At 350 kg/ha it increased the spike and rach is length but delayed flowering. Application of 200, 250, 300 and 350 kg/ha did not show significant difference in plant growth and flower p arameters.
