Abstract
Three thermotropic main chain polyesters based on mesogenic aromatic t riads and five, six and seven methylene groups in the flexible spacer have been analyzed by IR spectroscopy. The FTIR spectra have been reco rded depending on the thermal history and the temperature and the spec troscopic changes observed have been correlated with the phase behavio ur of these polymers.
