Micelle formation, thermodynamic equilibrium and compactness of chromo
phore-labelled styrene(hydrogenated isoprene) diblock and styrene-(hyd
rogenated butadiene)-styrene three-block copolymers in selective solve
nt systems have been investigated using nonradiative energy transfer a
nd fluorescence quenching techniques. Donor (carbazole) or acceptor (a
nthracene) chromophores were randomly attached to the polystyrene part
of block copolymers. The relaxation behaviour of micellar solution an
d the kinetics of micelle dissociation in various solvent composition
and temperature were studied. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd.
