The studies of hormonal balance in developing grains and seedling of t
wo wheat varieties differing in resistance to Septoria leaf blotch to
the given pathogen. During initial phases of pathogen development IAA/
ABA ratio was determined to be moved in direction of the increase of A
BA content. In subsequent phases of pathogenesis a shift of IAA/ABA ra
tio in direction of higher IAA content was reveled. Significant rise o
f this value in the sensitive variety gives evidence of insufficient b
alance of metabolic processes in plants. The amplitude of IAA/ABA chan
ge in the resistant variety is considerably lower than in the sensitiv
e one as compared to the control variant that is why this value may se
rve a criterium of estimation of wheat resistance to induced by S. nod
orum.
