Ig. Savelev et al., SPIN SPLITTING OF THE LANDAU-LEVELS AND EXCHANGE INTERACTION OF A NONIDEAL 2-DIMENSIONAL ELECTRON-GAS IN INXGA1-XAS INP HETEROSTRUCTURES/, Journal of physics. Condensed matter, 8(46), 1996, pp. 9025-9036
Shubnikov-de Haas oscillations corresponding to the spin-resolved Land
au levels of the two-dimensional electron gas at an In0.53Ga0.47As-InP
heterointerface were studied in wide ranges of magnetic fields (up to
22 T) and tilt angles. Dependences of the spin splitting Delta(s) on
the parallel component of magnetic field were investigated for half-fi
lled Landau levels 0 up arrow, 1 down arrow, 1 up arrow, 2 down arrow
and 2 up arrow. The exchange interaction was shown to be strongly depe
ndent on the broadening and overlapping of adjacent Landau levels. On
the basis of this model, the experimental magnetic field dependences o
f Delta(s) were described. As a result, the absolute value of bare g-f
actor g(0) = 2.9, exchange energy E(x) = 30 meV and Landau level broad
ening Gamma = 7-11 meV were obtained.
