Z. Mester et al., DETERMINATION OF ARSENIC SPECIES BY HIGH-PERFORMANCE LIQUID-CHROMATOGRAPHY HYDRIDE GENERATION (ULTRASONIC NEBULIZER) ATOMIC FLUORESCENCE SPECTROMETRY, Microchemical journal, 54(3), 1996, pp. 184-194
A technique to determine four species of arsenic (As-III, As-V, dimeth
ylarsinic (DMAs), and monomethylarsonic (MMAs) acids) where high-perfo
rmance liquid chromatography was coupled Lo an atomic fluorescence spe
ctrometer using an ultrasonic nebulizer as an interface has been furth
er improved by the use of hydride generation. The effect of hydride co
nditions on signal intensities has been Investigated. The detection li
mits for As-III, As-V, DMAs, and MMAs were 2.5, 6, 3.2, and 2 ng, resp
ectively (at 250 mm(3) volume injected). The linearity for all four ar
senic species were in the range 25-1000 ng. (C) 1996 Academic Press. I
