G. Thomas et al., GEOMETRY OF LONS FORMATION DEPOSITS (KIMM ERIDGIAN AQUITAINE BASIN) -STRUCTURAL INTERPRETATION, Bulletin de la Societe geologique de France, 167(5), 1996, pp. 627-636
Decompacted isopach maps were drawn up for the five members of Lens Fo
rmation (upper part of early Kimmeridgian and late Kimmeridgian). Seve
ral depocentres separated by high areas are distinguished. They are st
riking E-W in the northern part of the Aquitaine basin, while in the s
outhern part they are shaped by a rhombic fault framework (NNW-SSE and
WNW-ESE). Depocentres and fault organization suggest a submeridian sy
nsedimentary stretching.
