Abstract
A patient with renal tuberculosis developed acute adrenocortical defic iency as the first manifestation of Addison's disease shortly after In itiation of rifampin therapy. Rifampin is a hepatic enzyme inducer tha t accelerates the breakdown of adrenal cortex hormones.
