Abstract
H-1 and C-13 NMR chemical shifts and (n)J(C, H) coupling constants of symmetrical polychlorinated diphenyliodonium salts and polychlorinated iodobenzenes were measured and analysed to obtain information about c hlorine substituent effects on aromatic tri- and monovalent iodo compo unds. The chlorine substituent effects on the chemical shifts and the direct (1)J(C,H) coupling constants were studied by multiple linear re gression analysis.
