Abstract
Extending a guidewire (ACS) with a ''Doc'' device not infrequently res ults in kinking of the proximal end of the guidewire, due to the fragi le nature of the tapered proximal tip. Straightening the bent guidewir e is accomplished easily with the use of two guidewire torque devices attached to both ends of the kinked connection. (C) 1996 Wiley-Liss, I nc.
