Abstract
The report discusses the influence of microstructural parameters (grai n size and crystallographic structure) on the amplitude of the total s train and the necking bandwidth in uniaxial and quasi-static tension t ests at room temperature. The axial displacement in the postcritical s tage is essentially controlled by diffuse necking and appears to be in dependent of the nature of the three materials studied.
