Abstract
Pancreatic pseudocysts have not been reported to occur in the fetus or newborn. The authors report two cases of histologically proven pancre atic pseudocysts in neonates, which were detected using prenatal ultra sonography. Surgical management included external marsupialization fol lowed by internal drainage in one case, and excision in the other. Bot h patients ultimately did well. The etiology of these lesions remains unclear. Copyright (C) 1996 by W.B. Saunders Company
