The eight species from eastern United States are described, includin g P. eleanorae, n. sp., reared from leaf rolls on Salix in New York. A key is given for species identification, and biological observations are presented for Phyllocolpa eleanorae, P. leavitti (Rohwer), P. nigr ita (Marlatt), and P. terminalis (Marlatt), all on Salix. Lectotypes a re designated for Pontania robusta Marlatt and P. terminalis Marlatt.
