The conductivity relaxation due to Na+ ions and the decay of radiation
-induced centers controlled by Ag+ ion diffusion have been studied in
phosphate glasses with a high content of Na2O. Both of the processes d
isplay a nonexponential kinetic behavior and are satisfactorily descri
bed by the Kohlrausch function. It has been demonstrated that on the m
olecular level the Kohlrausch function should be interpreted as a sum
of exponential decay functions with a distribution of relaxation times
rather than the inherently nonexponential function.
