F. Chen et al., IMPROVED ELECTROLUMINESCENCE PERFORMANCE OF POLY(3-ALKYLTHIOPHENES) HAVING A HIGH HEAD-TO-TAIL (HT) RATIO, Journal of materials chemistry, 6(11), 1996, pp. 1763-1766
Light-emitting diodes are fabricated from regioregular and non-regiore
gular poly(3-hexylthiophenes). The regioregular polymer has a higher h
ead-to-tail (HT) ratio than non-regioregular polymer. It is shown that
the electroluminescent device containing high HT ratio polymer perfor
m significantly better than polymers with a low HT ratio. Photolumines
cence data of both polymers are also reported.
