Iv. Krive et al., PERSISTENT CURRENT IN A ONE-DIMENSIONAL RING OF FRACTIONALLY CHARGED QUASI-PARTICLES, Physical review. B, Condensed matter, 54(15), 1996, pp. 10342-10345
The Aharonov-Bohm effect in a one-dimensional (1D) ring containing a g
as of fractionally charged excitations is considered. It is shown that
the low temperature behavior of the system is identical to that of fr
ee electrons with (integer) charge e. Anomalous oscillations of the pe
rsistent current amplitude with temperature are predicted to occur as
a direct manifestation of the fractional nature of the quasiparticle c
harge. A ID conducting ring with gate induced periodical potential is
discussed as a possible setup For an experimental observation of the p
redicted phenomenon.
