Abstract
The coupled optical interface modes in a Fibonacci dielectric superlat tice are studied. In the dielectric continuum approximation, the dispe rsion relation is found to have two bands of dual triadic Canter struc tures, each being nonuniform scaling. For most of the eigenfrequencies , the amplitude profiles of electrostatic potential in this quasiperio dic structure are critical. Moreover, an invariant is analytically der ived and is used to describe the general features of the frequency spe ctra and potential profiles.
