Sm. Omalley et Dr. Beck, RELATIVISTIC-CONFIGURATION-INTERACTION RESULTS FOR THE HYPERFINE-STRUCTURE CONSTANTS OF CS-133-II AND BA-137-III 5P(5)(5D+6S+6P) LEVELS, Physical review. A, 54(5), 1996, pp. 3894-3902
Relativistic configuration interaction hyperfine constants (HFC) have
been obtained for all 5p(5)(5d+6s+6p) Cs-133 II levels. The 22 magneti
c dipole constants, A, agree with experiment to 12% or better for all
but three levels. Many of the odd J=1,2 levers, which include these th
ree, exhibit large many body effects. Our values for the quadrupole HF
S constants are considerably smaller than the few highly uncertain exp
erimental values, which we believe need remeasurement. There are also
significant many body results present in the lowest Ba-137 III odd par
ity J=1,2 levels; here, there are no experimental results available. W
e have found certain excitations from the 4d subshell to be important;
we ascribe this to the presence of an open 5p subshell.
