Mh. Zhang et al., INTERACTION BETWEEN HYPOCRELLIN AND ALIPHATIC-AMINES, Science in China. Series B, Chemistry, life sciences & earth sciences, 39(6), 1996, pp. 568-576
The interaction of hypocrellin, including hypocrellin A (HA) and hypoc
rellin B (HB), with aliphatic amines in deaerated solutions has been s
tudied by ESR and nanosecond transient absorption spectra In polar sol
vents, the add-base interaction between hypocrellin and amines was obs
erved without irradiation. The signals of semiquinone radial anions of
hypocrellin and the spin-trapping adduct of alpha-phenyl-N-tertbutyln
itrone (PNB) with the aminoalkyl radicals have been detected in photoi
nduced ESR studies. The transient absorption of excited triplet state
of HA and semiquinone radial anion of HA have been observed in laser f
lash photolysis studies.
