The magnetodielectric anisotropy effect in Fe3O4 particle magnetic flu
id has been numerically calculated. Our results, in agreement with pre
viously reported results, show that the dielectric constant in the dir
ection parallel to the field increases with the applied field, while t
hat normal to the field decreases: The results also, in agreement with
previous results, show that the dielectric constant in the field dire
ction increases with temperature above a given temperature T-s reachin
g a maximum at T-m then decreases for higher temperatures; while in th
e direction normal to the field it decreases with temperature for temp
eratures above T-s reaching a minimum at T-m then increases for higher
temperatures. Furthermore, our results show the important role that d
imensionality plays on the magnetodielectric anisotropy effect.
