Abstract
The optimal conditions for synthesis of very hard ceramic materials in the ZrO2-Y2O3-MgO system are found. Specific features of eutectoid de composition of solid solutions of a fluorite structure based on stabil ized zirconium dioxide are revealed, and their influence on the hardne ss and porosity of the ceramic compositions formed is studied.
