It is shown that a coherent superposition of N squeezed states leads t
o a photon number distribution P-n that is analogous to the classical
result of interference and diffraction. The oscillations in P, coincid
e with those obtained in the classical N-slits diffraction with a form
-factor given by \[n/psi]\(2){sin(2n phi(n))/sin(2 phi(n)}(2). Illustr
ative examples of particular superpositions are considered.
