Abstract
The exact upper bound for the norm distance between two normal matrice s is given as a function of their eigenvalues. Among the applications, we obtain an inequality related to the Cartesian decomposition of a m atrix and the evaluation of the Hadamard multiplier norms for matrices in a certain broad class.
