Abstract
Diels-Alder reactions of the annelated pentalene 2 lead to [4.3.3]prop ellanes. Various substituted anthracenes 3 and cyclopentadienes 5 are tested as diene components. 2 may be classified as a rather electron-r ich dienophile. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd
