High-spin states in Pm-145 have been studied with TESSA3 operating at
NSF Daresbury, through the Xe-134(N-15,4n) compound nucleus reaction u
sing a solid xenon target. To determine conversion coefficients and pr
operties of low-spin excitations electron-gamma and gamma-gamma coinci
dences have been measured following the Nd-145(d,3n) reaction. An exte
nded level scheme of Pm-145 is proposed and interpreted in terms of si
ngle-particle excitations with collective quadrupole and octupole vibr
ations coupled to them.
