Abstract
A superdeformed band has been observed in the Tb-147 nucleus which was produced with the reaction Mo-100(V-51,4n)Tb-147 at a bombarding ener gy of 230 MeV. The band configuration is assigned as pi 6(3) nu 7(1) w ith a total parity and signature of (pi, alpha) = (-, +1/2).
