Abstract
The photophysical processes of 4-formacyl-triphenylamine (FTA) and 4, 4'-bisformacyl-triphenylamine (BTA) haw been studied. The fluorescence s of FTA and BTA with donor (triamine) and acceptor (formacyl) moietie s show the twisted intramolecular charge transfer (TICT) emission in p olar solvents and photoinduced charge transfer (TCT) emission in nonpo lar solvents. These could be supported by the solvent effect, temperat ure effect and the quenching process by strong electron-deficient comp ounds.
