Abstract
A method for the synthesis of a variety of 2-hydroxy-2,3-trisubstitute d succinates (I) is presented. The synthesis is achieved by the asymme tric reactions of lithium, boron or titanium enolates of Evans' chiral imides with alpha-keto esters.
