Mc. Parker et al., MICROWAVE-RADIATION CAN INCREASE THE RATE OF ENZYME-CATALYZED REACTIONS IN ORGANIC MEDIA, Tetrahedron letters, 37(46), 1996, pp. 8383-8386
Irradiating a hydrated lipase enzyme suspended in organic media using
microwaves (2.45 GHz, 50 degrees C) enhanced the reaction rate by 2-3
fold over classical heating and the apparent non-thermal effects obser
ved were dependent on the hydration state of the enzyme in the organic
medium. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd
