Abstract
We report on three patients with severe Graves' dermopathy who were tr eated with octreotide despite a negative octreotide scintigraphy. One patient showed a complete recovery while two others had a partial resp onse. In contrast to active Graves' ophthalmopathy, an octreotide scin tigraphy appears not to be useful for pretreatment identification of p atients with Graves' dermopathy who are likely to respond to octreotid e treatment.
