Jd. Lillich et Em. Gaughan, DIAGNOSTIC-APPROACH TO EXERCISE INTOLERANCE IN RACEHORSES, The Veterinary clinics of North America. Equine practice, 12(3), 1996, pp. 555
Exercise intolerance is a common clinical problem in race track practi
ce. Retrospective data that have been generated from multimodality tre
admill examinations can provide the general practitioner with a better
-directed diagnostic approach to this problem. The major body systems
that are usually responsible for the exercise intolerance include the
musculoskeletal, respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurologic systems.
This article places emphasis on the collection of historical clinical
data as well as the performance of a sound physical examination.
