M. Mitsuishi et al., THE EFFECT OF DISPERSE DYES ON THE GLASS-TRANSITION TEMPERATURE OF POLYMERS, Journal of the Society of Dyers and Colourists, 112(11), 1996, pp. 333-335
The lowering of the glass transition temperature (T-g) of a polymer pr
oduced by the incorporating various concentrations of azo disperse dye
s has been investigated, and the effects of the structure and concentr
ation of the dyes were examined. The T-g values were lowered with incr
easing dye concentrations in the polymer, and the lowering of T-g prod
uced by the dyes was influenced not only by the molecular structure of
the dyes but also the dye-polymer interactions.
