Abstract
The paper presents a mathematical-physical model of the formation of n itride phases in the course of implantation of big doses of nitrogen i ons into copper and its alloys. Distributions of nitrogen atoms implan ted into copper and brass obtained by means of the RBS method and calc ulated on the basis of the proposed model were compared and on that ba sis the value of the coefficient of radiation enhanced diffusion of ni trogen atoms in copper and brass was estimated.
