High angle tilt boundaries in polycrystalline tapes of Nb3Ge, prepared
by the coevaporation technique, have been studied by high resolution
transmission electron microscopy. Based on geometric boundary theories
, possible structure models have been constructed for Sigma 17/[001] a
nd Sigma 5/[001] grain boundaries. By comparing the electron microscop
ic observations with the image simulations of the models, specific ato
mic configurations of these types of tilt boundary are proposed.
