Abstract
From analysing the third burst and transient source experiment gamma-r ay burst catalog, systematic variations of average observational chara cteristics of gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) with a time scale of months to y ears are revealed, which raise a difficulty to existing models and ind icate an origin of GRBs, at least partly within the heliosphere. A pos sible GRB producing process is discussed.
