Abstract
CASSCF structures and vibrational frequencies for the 2,3- and 3,4-iso mers of didehydrothiophene, didehydrofuran and didehydropyrrole are re ported; these results indicate that the in-plane pi bonds of these het eroarynes have considerable biradical character.
