A. Pfeiffer, IN-SITU MEASUREMENTS OF FLOCCULATED SUSPENDED MATTER WITH A VIDEO MULTI SENSOR SYSTEM, Journal of sea research, 36(1-2), 1996, pp. 115-118
During the intercalibration experiment WIMS in the Elbe estuary near B
runsbuttel a new configured Video Multi Sensor System was used to meas
ure flee size, shape and concentration in correlation to tide signals
such as current velocity and salinity. The results indicate the proble
ms caused by time- and depth-dependent interference between the parame
ters. In situ measurements from a floating ship have been conducted, b
ecause special efforts are necessary to avoid any destructive influenc
e on the fragile flocs.
