Abstract
Abortions associated with Listeria monocytogenes and Listeria ivanovii are being reported in 2 migratory flocks of Gaddi sheep and goats in Himachal Pradesh. Whereas, L. monocytogenes was isolated both from she ep and goats, respectively, L. ivanovii could only be isolated from sh eep. The pathogenic potential of L. monocytogenes isolates was tested in mice and guineapigs.
