Abstract
This paper is concerned with the mathematical study of a model describ ing the liquid-vapour phase change in porous media. Existence and uniq ueness of equilibria for the stationary problem are proved. Linear and nonlinear stability results are obtained. In the one space dimensiona l case the global existence and uniqueness of the solution for arbitra ry initial data are also proved. (C) 1996 Academic Press, Inc.
