Abstract
An acid functional n-butylmethacrylate-co-maleic anhydride addition co polymer has been synthesized by free radical initiated solution polyme rization technique. This copolymer has been used in varying proportion s to modify linseed oil based alkyd resin to obtain a series of acryla ted alkyds. Coating compositions have been prepared using these acryla ted alkyds by blending them in different ratios with butylated melamin e formaldehyde resin (MF). Various baked film properties of these comp ositions have been studied.
